On October 8, 2022 Mermet showed out at Barnet Park to support the Spartanburg Soaring! International Kite Festival. Since 2014, The Chapman Cultural Center of Spartanburg has put on this event each year to engage the community in a fun activity made for all ages while simultaneously encouraging people to get outside and exercise. Mermet aims to engage in the community through events like Spartanburg Soaring, which draw in people from all over the Upstate to be creative and have fun with others! 

For this year’s Spartanburg Soaring! festival, we made custom Mermet kites with a white frosted material and red tail. Leading up to the event, our employees could pick up a kite to take to Barnet Park and fly as they wish. Whether you went soaring solo or took the family out for a day of fun, there was never a dull moment at Spartanburg Soaring. With colorful kites high in the sky and food trucks for every taste bud, being at Barnet Park made us proud to be a part of the Upstate community.
