Celebrating World Quality Week 2025
This World Quality Week, we’re celebrating a team whose work often happens behind the scenes but plays a critical role in everything we do. Mermet’s Inspection Team helps ensure every roll that leaves our facility reflects the care, consistency, and high standards we stand by.
We caught up with Charlene Prysock, Tracy Allison, and Francisco Perez from our Quality department to hear more about what quality means to them and how they help uphold Mermet’s reputation, one inspection at a time.
Charlene finds the most rewarding part of her job is seeing improvement in the workplace firsthand. Her approach to inspection is personal.
“I treat each roll as if I was using it in my own home.”
She reminds us that there is much more to inspection than most people realize.
“There is so much testing performed to make sure the fabric meets our high standards.”
Charlene says she appreciates Mermet’s strong safety culture.
“The company always puts so much emphasis on Safety First. They truly care that each employee clocks out the way they clocked in.”
Her one word to describe the Inspection team is Assurance.
“Our quality defines our name and we take pride in the name Mermet.”+

Tracy Allison
For Tracy, quality inspection feels like a perfect match for her strengths.
“I enjoy working with numbers, anomalies that need to be solved, details, troubleshooting, and corrections. It is satisfying to complete a task or solve problems.”
She describes a detailed process that includes weekly audits, lab testing, and off-hold protocols.
“We test for color, openness, thickness, blackout, reflectance, welding, and peeling. We hold and correct any rolls that need adjustments before they are released.”
Tracy believes many people do not see just how complex the process is.
“There is a lot more behind the scenes than what is seen. We make sure everything is accurately labeled, tagged, and meets our highest standards.”
She also appreciates Mermet’s focus on safety.
“Our facility is clean and organized, so as a Quality Tech, it is a breath of fresh air to work in a safety-conscious atmosphere.”
Tracy’s word for the team is Qualified.
“We are qualified for quality.”

Francisco Perez
Francisco keeps it simple and confident. The best part of his job?
“Knowing that I’m sending out good quality material.”
When asked how he ensures each roll meets Mermet’s standards, he does not hesitate. He believes he is the best person for the job.
Francisco points out that many people are not aware of the different types of defects inspectors are trained to spot. When asked what he enjoys most about Mermet, his answer was quick.
“The people are like family to me.”
His word for the team is Perfect.

From detailed audits to everyday inspections, Mermet’s Inspection Team plays a key role in our success. We are proud to recognize their dedication during World Quality Week and celebrate the important work they do to keep quality at the center of everything we make.
